Thiruvananthapuram: Three more persons have been confirmed with COVID-19 infection today in Kerala. Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that the result of two persons from Malappuram and Kasaragod was positive. This has taken the total number of COVID-19 infected persons in the state to 24.
Today, 72 persons have been admitted to isolation wards in hospitals across the state with symptoms of the virus infection. A total of 12, 470 people are under observation in Kerala.
The Chief Minister asked the people to avoid close contacts and take precautionary measures to prevent getting the virus. He asked the people to wash hands and to avoid giving handshakes.
The Kerala government launched the ‘Break the Chain’ initiative, yesterday, to stop the spread of the virus and to contain the infection.
