Thiruvananthapuram: The situation in Kerala is getting worrisome after 39 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state today. Out of these 34 cases were from Kasaragod district, 2 from Kannur and one case each from Thrissur, Kollam and Kozhikode.
The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, while reporting about the number of cases and other measures taken by the state said that the situation is grave. He also said that stronger measures will be taken considering the seriousness of the situation.
This is the first time that such a large number of people are tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.
Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government is thinking about revealing the names of the COVID-19 patients to block their movements. There are already 164 COVID-19 patients under treatment across the state.
