Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Tuesday registered its second COVID-19 death, taking the toll to 2.
The 68-year-old, retired police personnel Abdul Azeez, died at the Government Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
He started showing symptoms on March 13. He was admitted to hospital on March 23. According to reports, his first test result was negative but later on March 29, he was confirmed to have affected with the infection.
Azeez was on ventilator support for the last five days and while being in the life support system, he had suffered cardiac arrest and paralysis attack.
The deceased had no history of foreign travel and hence it is unsure of how he contracted the disease.
