Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, today said that 24 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Kerala. Out of the 24 cases, 12 are from Kasaragod, 3 from Ernakulam and 2 from Thiruvanathapuram, Kannur, Thrissur and Malappuram. A single case is reported from Palakkad today.
Nine of the total affected persons came from foreign countries and the rest contracted the disease by contact with those infected.
Kerala now has 265 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Currently there are 1,64,130 persons are under quarantine. The total number of cases includes 191 NRIs and seven foreigners.
