Thiruvanathapuram: Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 today in the state. This includes two persons who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat’s religious event in Delhi.
Out of the cases 8 are reported from Kasaragod, 5 from Idukki, 2 from Kollam, and one each from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur.
One of the infected persons in Kollam is a pregnant woman.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Kerala now stands at 256. The number of people under observation in the state is now at 1,65,934 out of which 643 persons are at the hospital and the rest under quarantine at home.
