Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said that 9 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Kerala.
The confirmed cases include 4 from Kannur, 2 from Alappuzha while one each from Pathanamthitta, Thrissur and Kasaragod districts. 4 had returned from abroad while 2 were attendees of Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin in New Delhi. 3 developed the disease through contact.
Meanwhile 13 persons have tested negative of coronavirus. Among them 3 each are from Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur districts, 2 each are from Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad and one from Kannur district.
On Wednesday alone, 169 persons were admitted to hospitals. So far 11,986 samples were sent for testing out of which 10,906 have turned negative.
