Malappuram: An 85-year-old man who was under observation after curing from coronavirus disease, passed on Saturday morning. The final test result had turned out negative and doctors claim that his death was caused due to other ailments.
The deceased Veerankutty, a Malappuram native, had suffered a heart attack three days ago. He was kept under observation in Manjeri Medical College due to kidney related ailments.
He was diagnosed with coronavirus on April 2, however the source of infection is yet to be ascertained. Earlier, it was thought to have infected from his son, who had returned from Umrah. However, he was not infected with the disease.
