Thrissur: POCSO accused DYFi leader in Engandiyoor has fled from the state. Even after four months of filing the case, the police did not take any action against the accused due to constraint from CPM.
DYFI Regional Joint Secretary Sarath was accused for disgraceful act on a fourth standard girl child. A complaint was registered against him after repeated pathetic behaviour even against the child’s mother, but the police only resolved the issue. Despite showing proofs of his bawdy behaviour videos, the police kept mum and did not take any action.
The accused is also alleged to have shown the same manner in the neighbourhood. Though a case was registered under POCSO Act, the police did not take action against him due to the pressure of the CPM.
DYFI suspended Sarath after the case came to the light, however he continues to be in the shadow of the party. Reportedly, he has left Kerala.
