Thiruvananthapuram: In a bid to spread a message that people should wear mask to prevent coronavirus, the Kerala Police have come forward with an innovative campaign. The police have announced a reward of Rs 5,000 to those who produce a variety of family masks.
A reward of Rs 3000 will be given to those who send new designs. It has also been announced that the best masked family photos will be posted on the police website.
The government has advised people not to step out in the public without wearing masks to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Steps have also been initiated to impose fines on those without wearing a mask. Rs 200 will be fined initially and those who violate the law for the second time will be fined Rs 5,000.
