Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala saw a surge in its coronavirus cases after it reported 42 fresh cases today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Of the 42 cases, 12 are from Kannur, 7 from Kasaragod, 5 each from Kozhikode, Palakkad, 4 each from Malappuram, Thrissur, 2 from Kottayam, and one each from Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Wayanad districts.
Only two people recovered from the disease.
Of the positive cases today, 21 people came from Maharashtra and 17 arrived from overseas and one each from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
