Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 40 new coronavirus cases today and 10 tested negative, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Of the 40 cases, 10 are from Kasaragod, 8 from Palakkad, 7 from Alappuzha, 4 from Kollam, 3 each from Pathanamthitta and Wayanad, 2 each from Kozhikode and Ernakulam, one from Kannur.
9 people arrived from abroad, 28 came from other states and 3 persons infected through contact.
A total of 179 Keralites living abroad have succumbed to the virus infection.
