Idukki: CPM workers on Thursday threatened the police personnel of Vandiperiyar police station that they will put to death. The CPM area secretary, district secretariat member and a few party workers barged into the Vandiperiyar police station and threatened four police personnel including an ASI.

The CPM workers threatened saying that the police will be hacked to death if they don’t behave well. It is evident in the footage that a policeman on duty is publicly humiliated and given foul words.
CPM Peerumedu area secretary Vijayanand and District Secretariat member R. Thilakan interrupted the official duty of the police.
The policemen were unable to respond and seen helpless to their dreadful act of violence as they were top leaders from the ruling party.
They were threatened after a bike of a DYFI worker was seized during vehicle inspection. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against CPM leaders for intimidating police officers.
