Thrissur: Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple will conduct wedding ceremonies from tomorrow. Only ten people can attend the wedding, including the bride and groom said the Devaswom board. However, entry inside the temple is prohibited.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday had permitted to conduct weddings with a limited participation of 50 people. However, due to the possibililty of heavy rush, the Devaswom board has granted permission to solemnize wedding with only 10 people.
Only 60 weddings per day will be conducted and it has to be booked in advance.
If there are more than 60 weddings booked, then those who first booked in accordance with seniority will be allowed. The weddings can also be conducted when the portals are closed. After each wedding, the wedding mandaps will be sterilized.
If there are many marriages in a single time, the three mandaps in the East Nada will be occupied.
Devaswom Board said that devotees would not be allowed inside the temple anytime soon.
