Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran said that minister EP Jayarajan is involved in the removal of sand case from Pampa river.
Surendran alleged that Minister of Industries E P Jayarajan is regulating a multi-crore scam involving a private compnay in Kottayam. In the name of removal of waste, the private company is snatching sands from Pampa river.
It was all the first started in Kannur by Kerala Clays and Ceramics Products Ltd in collaboration with a private company in Kottayam. The action led to mass protests by the public due to which Kerala Clays and Ceramics were handed over to remove the sand from Pampa.
However, in the name of cleaning the river, sands worth thousand crores were being extracted. In Kannur, both CPI (M) and Congress played a political game.
