Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 82 new cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during the press meet. 24 people recovered from the virus infection.
Of the total cases, 14 are from Thiruvananthapuram, 11 from Malappuram, 9 from Idukki, 8 from Kottayam, 7 each from Alappuzha and Kozhikode, 5 each from Palakkad, Ernakulam and Kollam, 4 from Thrissur, 3 each from Kasaragod and Kannur and 2 from Pathanamthitta.
53 arrived from abroad and 19 from other states. While 5 infected through contact.
Five healthcare workers have also been infected with the disease.
There are now 128 hotspots in the state.
