Pathanamthitta: In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, Sabarimala Tantri has written to Travancore Devaswom Board asking to forbid entry of devotees for the monthly puja. The tantri is of the view that the temple festival should also be postponed.
Tantri Kantaru Mahesh Mohanaru wrote the letter to Devaswom Commissioner demanding to postpone the decided temple festival when the portals will be opened for the monthly puja.
The tantri said that the if any devotee is diagnosed with the virus infection, everyone related to the temple activities will have to go into quarantine. It will lead to hindrance in the ritualistic activities of the temple.
The letter states that the risk of coronavirus outbreak should be well considered.
