Kannur: The 78-year-old who died on Thursday night had coronavirus after his test result turned out to be positive.
The deceased Nadukkandi Hussain had returned from Mumbai on June 9 and had been in home quarantine.
However, he was admitted to Kannur district hospital after suffering from fever and diarrhea. His condition worsened and was shifted to Pariyaram medical college on Thursday.
Kerala’s death toll now stands at 19.
