Thrissur: Mollywood’s well known filmmaker and scriptwriter Sachy has passed away today. He was admitted to Thrissur Jubilee Mission Hospital on June 16, after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Sachy had undergone a total hip replacement surgery and suffered a cardiac arrest before his second surgery. By then his brain was damaged and was admitted to critical care unit and was on ventilator support.
His collaboration with writer Sethu produced popular movies such as Chocolate (2007), Robinhood (2009), Makeup Man (2011) and Seniors (2012). He is noted for his engaging and entertaining style of script writing. His directorial debut was Anarkali starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced by Rajeev Nair under the banner of Magic Moon Productions. Sachy was associated with 2 movies in 2017; Ram Leela with Dileep,[3] and the Biju Menon starring Sherlock Toms[4] directed by Shafi.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum was his last movie which had turned out to be a hit at the box office.
