Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 121 fresh cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday. This is the 11th consecutive day with more than 100 cases in the state.
Of the total cases, Thrissur 26, Kannur 14, Malappuram 13, Pathanamthitta 13, Palakkad 12, Kollam 11,Kozhikode 9, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki 5 each, Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram 4 each.
Of the positive cases, 78 people came from abroad, 26 from other states while 5 infected through contact.Three of them are healthcare workers while nine others are CISF.
At the same time, 79 samples have tested negative of coronavirus.
The CM started the press meet by remembering Poykayil Sreekumara Gurudevan, the founder of socio-religious movement Prathyaksha Raksha Daiva Sabha on the occasion of his 81st death anniversary.
