Kochi: In the case pertaining to gold smuggling in Thiruvananthapuram airport, the noose have tightened for main smuggler Swapna Suresh, who is absconding, and her gang. The CBI is likely to take over the case currently being investigated by the Customs.
A team of CBI had arrived at Customs Preventive Commission office in Kochi. The returned only after a thorough discussion on the case.
At the same time, Swapna’s friend Sandeep’s wife was taken into custody from Thiruvananthapuram. According to reports, Soumya who has been brought to Kochi, will be jointly questioned by CBI and Customs.
