Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister KK Shailaja said that post the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, the situation in the State has worsened. The spread of coronavirus in Thiruvananthapuram’s Poonthura and Manakkad is continuing in an alarming manner.
A total of 243 people have been diagnosed with the disease since July 6 in Poonthura. The Minister said that people are deliberating violating the norms, citing example of what happened today when mass took to the streets.
The protests in the state is going out of control amid coronavirus outbreak. The Minister also hinted at extension of lockdown in Thiruvananthapuram if the disease continues to spread.
