Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala records highest ever single day spike of 416 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Meanwhile 112 people recovered from the disease.
123 arrived from abroad, 51 from other states, 204 infected through contact. This is also the highest cases for infections through contact.
Of the total cases, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the maximum cases with 129, followed by Alappuzha 50, Malappuram 41, Pathanamthitta 32, Palakkad 28, Kollam 28, Kannur 23, Ernakulam 20, Thrissur 17, Kasaragod 17, Kozhikode 12, Idukki 12, and Kottayam 7.
There are now 193 hotspots in the state.
