Thiruvananthapuram: The state in its fourth consecutive day has reported more than 400 cases. 449 new cases of coronavirus have been reported today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Meanwhile 162 patients have recovered from the disease.
Of the total cases, 119 are from Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram 63, Malappuram and Pathanamthitta 47 each, Kannur 44, Kollam 33, Palakkad 19, Kozhikode 16, Ernakulam 15, Wayanad 14, Kottayam 10, Thrissur 9, Kasaragod 9 and Idukki 4.
Of these confirmed cases, 140 arrived from abroad, 64 from other states. 144 people infected through contact.
There are 223 hotspots in the state.
