Thiruvananthapuram: The state reported highest-ever single day spike of 791 coronavirus cases, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. At the same time 133 have recovered from the disease.
The total cases of coronavirus in the state now stands at 11,066.
Of the total cases, Thiruvananthapuram 246, Ernakulam 115, Pathanamthitta 87, Alappuzha 57, Kollam 47, Kottayam 39, Kozhikode 32, Thrissur 32, Kasaragod 32, Palakkad 31, Wayanad 28, Malappuram 25, Idukki 11, Kannur 9.
Of the confirmed cases 335 people arrived from abroad, 98 from other states. A total of 531 people have been infected through contact. Source of 42 cases are yet to be ascertained.
