Thiruvananthapuram: The NIA team conducted a preliminary inspection at the flat of the UAE Consulate Attache in connection with the gold smuggling in Thiruvananthapuram. A seven-member team conducted the inspection on Sunday.
Four diplomats resided in the Pattur flat.
The Attache is also believed to have connection with the gold smuggling. He fled from India to UAE while the investigation is still in process.
Meanwhile, the investigation team has recorded a preliminary statement from Attache’s gunman.
