Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded 702 new cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Meanwhile 745 samples tested negative for the infection.
The total cases of coronavirus in the state now stands at 19,727.
Of the total cases, Thiruvananthapuram recorded 161 cases, followed by Malappuram 86, Idukki 70, Kozhikode 68, Kottayam 59, Palakkad 41, Thrissur 40, Kannur 38, Kasaragod 38, Alappuzha 30, Kollam 22, Pathanamthitta 17, Wayanad 17, Ernakulam 15.
Of these confirmed cases, 75 people came from abroad and 91 from other states. 483 people contracted disease through contact.
