Thiruvananthapuram: As the Supreme court has decided to consider review pleas on Sabarimala woman entry in open court, now the ball is in the Government’s court.

If the Government decide to make entry for women of menstrual age to Sabarimala, this pilgrim season will be a season of protest too.

The Government will take it’s final decision in tomorrow’s All party meet.

The Supreme court has made the crucial verdict on 28th September that granted entry of women of all age group in Sabarimala. Supreme court verdict was based on Kerala Government’s affidavit. And soon after the verdict, Government showed unprecedented over enthusiasm in making way for women entry.

Believers protested in streets chanting prayers. This is for the first time in history that tens of thousands of devotees showed their protest against Government’s wrong stand to breach centuries old tradition and rituals. Pinarayi Government’s stand out made devotees deeply wounded.

Panthalam Royal family and Thanthri family repeatedly requested the Government to submit a review plea in Supreme court, but everything was in vain.

Now the Supreme court decision to hear petitions in open court is a major setback for both the Government and the Devaswom Board.

If the Government goes on with the prevoius stand on woman entry, this season will surely end up with more and more protests.

The final decision on women entry will be taken after the All Party Meet tomorrow.
