Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is questioning former principal secretary to Chief Minister, M Sivasankar again in connection with the gold smuggling case. Swapna Suresh, the second accused is also present at ED office in Kochi.
Sivasankar is being questioned for the second time after Swapna reportedly told the probe team that she had close contact with him and was aware of all the conspiracies. ED therefore had requested Ernakulam Principals Sessions court for permission to question Sivasankar again, while seeking extension of custody of the accused.
Earlier, the National Investigation Agency and Customs had interrogated Sivasankar for 34 hours.
