Thiruvananthapuram: A group of doctors has rejected the figures released by the government regarding coronavirus deaths. They said that about more 150 people have died than the government’s total figures.
The government has officially confirmed 218 deaths in the state. But a parallel list released by doctors said that 365 died so far due to infection, which means 147 more patients. It is to be noted that Maharoof, a native of Mahe, who was initially excluded has now been included in the list by the government.
Anyone can post information on the Google page to ensure transparency in the accounts. The information provided in this way will be verified with the help of multiple sources. Only after this will it be included in the list.
The figures are based on the guidelines of ICMR and the World Health Organization.
The doctors’ association itself has come to the fore in a situation where even the deaths of people with other diseases impacted due to coronavirus have been removed from the government list.
