Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded the highest ever 2,476 cases of coronavirus today. At the same time, 1351 recovered from the disease.
Thiruvananthapuram recorded the maximum with 461 cases, followed by Malappuram 352, Kozhikode 215, Thrissur 204, Alappuzha and Ernakulam 193 each, Pathanamthitta 180, Kottayam 137, Kollam 133, Kannur 128, Kasaragod 101, Palakkad 86, Idukki 63 and Wayanad 30.
Of the confirmed cases, 64 arrived from abroad and 99 from other states. 2,243 people infected the disease through local transmission.
The state also witnessed 13 deaths taking the tally to 257.
