Bengaluru: In the drug smuggling case, noose gets tightened for Binees Kodiyeri, son of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The arrested accused Rijesh Raveendran has told Narcotics Control Bureau that the selling of the drug was centred around hotel Hyatt, which has a partnership with Bineesh Kodiyeri.
Evidences on money transactions made in Bengaluru by Bineesh have also emerged. Anas, a native of Dharmadam, is said to be another partner of the firm. The NCB will also collect information about him.
Meanwhile, the probe team has decided to extend the investigation into the drug smuggling case to Kerala. NCB is further investigating those who provided financial assistance to Anoop Mohammad, a resident of Vennala, Ernakulam, who was arrested in the drug smuggling case.
Serial actress Anika is the first accused in the case. The second accused is Anoop Mohammad and the third accused is Rijesh Raveendran from Palakkad. The NCB will also look into their links with those in the political and film industry.
