Thiruvananthapuram: The state on the second consecutive day recorded more than 4,000 cases. Today the state reported 4,167 new cases of coronavirus. At the same time, 2,744 recovered from the disease.
The state’s capital recorded the maximum cases with 926 followed by Kozhikode 404, Kollam 355, Ernakulam 348, Kannur 330, Thrissur 326, Malappuram 297, Alappuzha 274, Palakkad 268, Kottayam 225, Kasaragod 145, Pathanamthitta 101, Idukki 100, Wayanad 68.
12 more fatalities were reported today taking the total death toll to 501.
Of the confirmed cases, 48 people arrived from abroad while 165 from other states. Meanwhile 3,849 infected through local transmission.
