Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded highest single-day spike of 4,696 cases of coronavirus today. At the same time 2751 have recovered from the disease.
The state also reported more 18 fatalities due to infection. The total death toll now stands at 535.
Thiruvananthapuram reported 892 fresh cases followed by Ernakulam 537, Kozhikode 536, Malappuram 483, Kollam 330, Thrissur 322, Palakkad 289, Kottayam 274, Alappuzha 219, Kasaragod 208, Pathanamthitta 190, Wayanad 97, Idukki 77.
Of the confirmed cases, 44 arrived from abroad while 137 from other states. 4,425 infected through local transmission.
