Thiruvananthapuram: Minister K T Jaleel on Tuesday said that he will resign from his post if his party and the front demands for it and will not resign over political allegations.
Citing the reason for opening the parcel, he said that the staff may have opened a box out of curiosity to see the printed text of Quran from Dubai. One of the 32 boxes sent to Malappuram was unsealed. The Minister said that he did not even take a copy of the Quran.
“I had informed the Chief Minister that I would appear before probe team to give my statements. There is no lack of confidence in the NIA. There is no particular reason to disbelieve them,” he said.
The Minister also stated that he was questioned on the basis of complaints received against him.
