Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance is investigating into the irregularities of Life Mission project. The state government has issued an order for a vigilance inquiry.
The statement of Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, brought to light the commission in the Life Mission project. It is stated in the order that a detailed probe will be held into the allegations regarding the project to build 140 apartments in Wadakkanchery with the help of Red Crescent.
Meanwhile, Vadakkancherry MLA Anil Akkara said that the vigilance probe could not be accepted. The vigilance probe was announced at a time when the CBI was coming up with an investigation. Anil Akkara said that the government has only taken steps to save its dignity.
