Thiruvananthapuram: The state witnessed highest ever single-day spike of 6477 cases of coronavirus. At the same time 3,481 recovered from the disease.
Thiruvananthapuram recorded the maximum with 814 cases followed by Malappuram 784, Kozhikode 690, Ernakulam 655, Thrissur 607, Kollam 569, Alappuzha 551, Kannur and Palakkad 419 each, Kottayam 322, Kasaragod 268, Pathanamthitta 191, Idukki 114, Wayanad 74.
With more 22 deaths being reported today, the total toll has reached 635.
Of the confirmed cases, 58 arrived from abroad, while 198 from other states. 5,418 contracted the disease through local transmission.
