Kochi: In the alleged Life Mission project scam, CBI has tightened its noose around construction company Unitac. The CBI has seized documents including land deals from Santosh Eepan, owner of Unitac. The CBI team also seized documents related to the commission transaction.
It has found that the Red Crescent paid Unitac directly through three banks which is a violation of the Foreign Currency Regulation Act. It is learned that the CBI will soon question Life Mission CEO UV Jose.
The CBI the other day launched an investigation into a money laundering case involving the Red Crescent. The CBI took over the case after the state government ordered a Vigilance probe into the alleged scam.
