Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State president K Surendran on Sunday lashed out at the Pinarayi Vijayan-led CPM government over alleged scam in Wadakkanchery Life Mission project. He said that the government entrusted Vigilance to probe only to sabotage the CBI’s investigation.
Surendran also alleged that the commission for the Life Mission project has gone into the pockets of the Chief Minister. He said that the government is saving its face from corruption.
” More money has come into the account of Life Mission project from various sources. It was the government itself who said Vigilance probe is unsatisfactory and gave a nod for CBI. Now, the CPM is of the stance that ‘Vijayans’ probe is adequate,” Surendran ridiculed the state government.
He asked the Chief Minister, Local Government and party leaders to come under the purview of the inquiry and asked why the party did not investigate the case of Bineesh Kodiyeri as he had assets to confiscate.
Taking a dig at UDF, Surendran said, “Sincerity shown by the UDF in the Life project will not be seen in the coming days.”
