Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded the highest ever single day spike of 9,258 cases of coronavirus today. At the same time 4092 have been recovered from the disease.
Kozhikode recorded the maximum cases of 1146, followed by Thiruvananthapuram 1096, Ernakulam 1042, Malappuram 1016, Kollam 892, Thrissur 812, Palakkad 633, Kannur 625, Alappuzha 605, Kasaragod 476, Kottayam 432, Pathanamthitta 239, Wayanad 108.
Of the confirmed cases, 47 arrived from abroad, while 184 from other states. 8,274 infected through local transmission.
The death toll has reached 791 after 20 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
There are 77,482 active cases in the state and 1,35,144 people have recovered from the infection till date
