Govt-backed Dalit harassment against Ramakrishnan; BJP demands case for untouchability

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state general secretary P Sudhir said that what happened against Kalabhavan Mani’s brother RLV Ramakrishnan was government sponsored Dalit harassment.

“The state government is responsible for Ramakrishnan’s suicide attempt. Despite Ramakrishnan’s agitation in front of the academy for days, the Chief Minister and Minister AK Balan were unwilling to intervene. The academy officials said that if Ramakrishnan participates in the online dance program ‘Sarga Bhumika’ of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, the standard and image of the institution will be affected. This is a form of Untouchability against Scheduled Castes,” he said.

“KPAC should expel Lalitha and Radhakrishnan Nair from the board and file a case against them for untouchability and Scheduled Caste harassment. KPAC Lalitha, who had insulted Ramakrishnan several times, is now lying. He was neglected as he belonged to a Scheduled Caste,” Sudhir added.
