New Delhi: Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Wednesday said that the investigation into the high-profile gold smuggling case has reached a crucial turning point. His statements come after ED took Sivasankar into custody soon after High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.
The Union Minister said that the investigation agencies have taken the case into a turning point after smashing all challenges from the government, CPM and Chief Minister. He also noted that ED taking Sivasankar into custody can be precisely meant as a beginning of more VIPs coming under the radar of the probe team.
“The BJP does not believe that the case will end with Sivasankar,” said Muraleedharan.
He demanded the Chief Minister to resign for the sake of his chair and the government so that they don’t face disgrace.
