Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister KK Shailaja, has said that the Covid spread in the State is in it’s new phase. The next two weeks are very crucial for the State. The state is deeply concerned after the local body elections. People with symptoms should definitely take a corona test. KK Shailaja also said that communities should be avoided as much as possible.

Corona guidelines were overturned during the Election Campaigns. There was a large turnout as part of the election. Although it was suggested that meetings and other events should be held only in accordance with corona standards, large crowds were present in many places. Experts say there will be a huge increase in corona cases after the election, said the Minister.

Swearing-in must be in accordance with the Covid protocols. Crows and demonstrations must be avoided after the swearing-in. Hands must be cleansed frequently and Social distance must be ensured. In case if anyone is infected with the virus during the campaign, it would lead to more spread. People should go out only if it’s necessary.

Excessive cases may lead to a lack of access to treatment and health care in Hospitals. Such a situation must be prevented. All suspects should undergo corona examination. K K Shailaja said that the increase that is part of the election should be reversed without causing death.
