Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday rejected CPM leader P Jayarajan’s plea to revoke UAPA against him.
The division bench of the HC upheld the single bench’s order which had found it reasonable to charge UAPA against the accused.
The division bench, in the judgement pointed out that even the first accused had not challenged the court’s previous judgement. The court also criticised the State govt for opposing the use of UAPA against the accused. “The state government is now acting more loyal than the king” said the court.
The RSS leader Elamthottathil Manoj aka Kathiroor Manoj was murdered on September 1, 2014. P Jayarajan is the 25 accused in the case as per the charge sheet filed by CBI.
