Neyyattinkara: New reports have come out regarding the disputed land in Neyyattinkara Couple Death case. The Investigation report in the case claims that Vasantha purchased the disputed land in violation of rules. Following the report, the District Collector has recommended a further police investigation into the matter.

The Athiyannur Panchayat, 40 years ago, had allotted land to many people for the construction of a Laksham Veed Colony. The Tehsildar found that the leased land allotted to Sukumaran Nair had been transferred to Vasantha and this is in violation of the rules relating to the transfer of ownership of the leased land.

Vasantha had claimed that the land in dispute had been handed over her and she has the license over the land while Rajan’s position was no. The collector had sought a report from the Tehsildar on the ownership of the land in this case. The Tehsildar later reported that the deceased had encroached on the land and that the land belonged to Vasantha.
