Thiruvananthapuram: 120 crore for school infrastructure development announced in the final budget session of the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government. The Finance Minister announced that Solar Panels will be installed in the schools. 105 crore will be allotted for school uniforms. Non-teaching staffs will be given a hike in the salary.
A counselling personnel will be appointed in every school with a monthly salary of Rs24,000. 100 crore has been allotted to the Labor Commissionerate and 250 crore for public undertakings. Five and a half crore has been allotted for Cashew Industry and 65 crore to settle arrears in Coir sector. 117 crore has been set aside for infrastructure development. 100 crore has been sanctioned for tourism marketing.
