Thiruvananthapuram: The luggage compartment of Mangalore-Malabar express caught fire in Sunday morning near Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram.
A huge tragedy was averted since the passengers pulled the chain immediately and stopped the train.
According to the authorities no casualties have been reported yet. The reason of the fire is yet to be found.
