Thiruvananthapuram: The opposition walked out of the assembly on Thursday after the resolution against the Speaker got rejected in the assembly.
After a series of dramatic events and war of words between the speaker and the leader of opposition, the resolution moved by the IUML MLA M Ummar, to remove the speaker was rejected by the assembly at ease. This is third time that a resolution is moved in the assembly demanding to remove the speaker. the opposition led by the United Democratic Front (UDF) walked out moments before the resolution was rejected.
The resolution against the speaker Sreerama Krishnan was moved following the allegation that he was involved in the gold smuggling case.
