Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala was opened for the five-day monthly poojas in the Malayalam month of Edavam on Saturday.
Travancore Devaswom Board officials have decided not to allow devotees for darshan as part of Covid-19 restrictions.
Routine rituals including Ganapathi homam, usha pooja, ucha pooja and deeparadhana would be performed on all the days as part of the monthly pooja.
Timings of the temple poojas was rescheduled. The Sreekovil will be opened for morning poojas at 5.30 am and close at 10 am. In the evening, poojas will begin at 5.30 pm and close at 8 pm after athazha pooja and lullaby harivarasanam.
The hill shrine will be closed after athazha pooja on May 19.
