Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has declared a holiday for the Secretariat here on Thursday afternoon in view of the swearing-in ceremony of new Council of Ministers, scheduled to be held in the Central Stadium at 1530 hours, amid COVID protocol.
In view of the present lockdown scenario and non-availability of parking facility for the staff, the government is pleased to declare the afternoon of May 20 as a holiday for Government Secretariat, GAD Principal Secretary KR Jyothilal said in a release on Wednesday evening.
Secretariat campus, including Annexe buildings are designated as parking spaces for the vehicles of invitees to the swearing-in ceremony, he added.
