Thiruvanathapuram: Revised covid regulations have come into effect from today. Vaccine certification or negative RTPCR certification is mandatory to enter shops and other institutions. Rather than to ease the lives of people, these regulations will make people’s lives more miserable.
Shops, supermarkets, factories, financial institutions including bank can open. Open recreational areas can function and people can visit these places. But to enter all these places vaccine certification taken within two weeks or negative RTPCR certification taken within 72 hours is mandatory as per the new regulation by the state government.
Weekend lockdown will only be on Sundays. Educational institutions, Cinema Theaters are not given permission to open. Restaurants can deliver parcel services to people. In open areas, cars and parking lots food can be served to people maintaining six feet distance.
But the traders union has said that the regulations cannot be followed completely. They are organizing a state level meeting today in view of the revised regulations.
